Preserving the heart of a jewel

Bianca, a loyal client for over 10 years and a proud ambassador of Melanie Stones jewelry, recently entrusted me with a special mission: to transform her grandmother’s ring.

When we lose a loved one, a piece of jewelry becomes more than just an object, it turns into a talisman, a precious connection to that person’s memory.

The style of an old piece may sometimes feel outdated, but its sentimental value remains untouched.

We want to keep wearing this emotionally rich jewel, but in a way that feels more current, more in tune with today’s style.

That’s where my work begins.

It’s that first conversation with my client that allows me to understand the intention, the energy, the desire, and the story behind the piece.

What truly inspires me in this type of project is the opportunity to preserve the emotional significance of the jewelry while creating a one-of-a-kind piece that deeply reflects my client’s personality.

There are also meaningful ecological and financial aspects to this kind of transformation: the gold from the original piece can either be recycled or sold to help finance the new creation.
