Chantal Machabée

Chantal Machabée is a trailblazing figure in sports journalism. At the age of 24, she made history by becoming the first woman to anchor a daily French-language sports news program in Quebec.
Over the course of her career, she has received numerous honors, including a Gémeaux Award in 1998 for Best Sports Newscast, the Larry Fredericks Media Award in 2023, and the Medal of Honour from the National Assembly of Quebec in 2024.
In January 2022, after a 32-year career at Réseau des sports (RDS), she was appointed Vice President of Communications for the Montreal Canadiens.
